The Symbol of Andrejsala
On 30 November, 2006, on the name day of Andrejsala, the symbol of the island – the anchor – was unveiled. It is installed on the concreted elevation next to the parking lot, not far from the entrance to the South End of Andrejsala.

Spirits & Wine Outlet in Andrejsala

In May 2009, the Rīga Spirits & Wine Outlet was opened on the ground floor of the former Hull Shop in Andrejsala. ‘The main idea of our outlet is to offer our customers drinks at reasonable prices that are definitely lower than those in a supermarket,’ explains Andris Lūkins, chairman of the outlet’s executive board.

Lunchtime Favourite: 'Bufete' in Andrejsala

'Peldošā darbnīca nr. 659', which was moored permanently at the south part of Andrejsala and began to offer office space for creative agencies in June 2008, also has a useful and intriguing facility. It’s a restaurant called 'Bufete', operating between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
