Section of Andrejostas Street, Once Closed, Now Open Again

Andrejsala’s “residents”, who are used to move around by car, do not have to tolerate that boring waiting at the closed railway crossing at the Trade Port’s building in the north of the island any more. The mid-section of Andrejostas Street, closed before, is now open to traffic. Andreostas street joins the South End with the northern part of Andrejsala. Please not that trucks are not allowed to the newly open section of the street.

When going from the South End towards the north of the island, you should drive past the anchor and the parking lot (they remain on the right), and, having crossed the railway tracks, turn right. Further on, the road, which looks rather like a city square, passes between the old warehouse buildings on the right and the hangar on the left, leading you to the old thermo power plant, where, at the intersection, you should drive straight on the asphalted street towards the north, until you reach the Eksporta port.

If you are bound from the north towards the South End, you should cross the railway track and drive along the track. The road leads you straight to the intersection at the former thermo power plant, where you will see a sign giving directions to the silo, which is located on the right. Drive straight on down the street that looks like a square until you reach one more railway track. Having crossed the track, turn left and you will find yourself at the parking lot and the anchor on the left of the road.
